A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a typo. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of junk messages, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam filtering software. It is also vital to bear in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox easily in case you’ve got a hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet astonishingly easy to use, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one you will see a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it once more will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox with ease even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not want this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
