Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic extension is the only one supposed to be for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level names remained working.

You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer key from the current registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done.
